When it comes to US incorporation, it's important to be aware that certain countries are restricted by the US. If you and/or one of your business partners lives or significantly operates in one of these countries, we cannot create your account at this time:
- Belarus
- Burundi
- Central African Republic
- Crimea
- Cuba
- Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Iran
- Iraq
- Lebanon
- Liberia
- Libya
- Nicaragua
- North Korea
- Republic of Congo
- Russia
- Somalia
- South Sudan
- Sudan
- Syria
- Venezuela
- Yemen
- Zimbabwe
Some of our partners may have different criteria, and especially banks might often update their restricted-countries list. Important to mention that they can differ from Firstbase's list and we can't interfere with any partner requirements.
Important disclaimer:
At the moment, OFAC's new law (U.S. Department of Treasury, Office of Enforcement, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) E.O. 14071 effective June 7, 2022) blocks Russian residents or citizens from incorporating a business in the US.
