The incorporation process can be complex and time-consuming, but we'll do everything we can to expedite your application. Here's what you can expect if you incorporate with Firstbase.
State Approval
Once you've submitted payment and fulfilled the incorporation requirements, we'll submit your application to the state government on your behalf. Note that we will be unable to file your application until you have completed all post-payment tasks.
Unfortunately, we cannot control their turnaround times. In our experience, Wyoming applications are usually processed in about 3-7 business days.
Delaware applications take a little longer — about 15 business days for the initial review, then another 10 business days to receive the certificate in the mail for a total of about 25 business days. Please note that you can expedite your application for an extra charge.
EIN (Employer Identification Number)
The Employer Identification Number (EIN) is an ID used by the IRS for tax purposes. While it isn't technically part of the incorporation process, you'll need an EIN in order to hire employees, pay taxes, and perform other basic business operations. We'll request an EIN from the IRS on your behalf once your incorporation is approved by the state government.
Your EIN application will be processed much more quickly if you have an SSN (Social Security Number) or ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number). Processing times are roughly 20-30 business days for applicants without an SSN or ITIN compared to just 2-3 business days with either of these identifiers.
Bank Account
We offer an easy application process and exclusive banking perks through our banking partners. Bank account applications are typically approved within about 2-10 business days. Please note that applications are reviewed by our partners and Firstbase cannot guarantee approval.
