Business Names that require additional reviews

There are certain business names that need to be physically mailed in via USPS to the Wyoming Secretary of State for further review. In these cases, there is extra time to complete the filing -- up to 2 weeks -- and is not always that the name is approved by the board.

Special cases :

• Company names beginning with the letter "A" followed by a space or punctuation will not be approved;
• Company names in a language other than English must include a written translation;
• The only characters the Secretary of State can accept in a business name are alpha (A-Z), numeric (0-9), hyphen (-), an ampersand (&).
